This program will award funding through two rounds of applications. The program collected Cohort Two applications from August 28, 2024 - September 25, 2024. The application window is now closed. Applicants awarded through Cohort One signed contracts before August 28, 2024.
Child and adolescent psychiatrists provide essential services for the wellbeing of children, adolescents, and families. Yet, communities in the Commonwealth are facing a severe shortage of these vital professionals. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Student Loan Repayment Program seeks to address these shortages by offering eligible professionals student loan repayment in exchange for a service commitment to community health.
If you commit to five years of working as a child adolescent psychiatrist in a community health center or community mental health center, you may receive up to $300,000 in student loan repayment.
