Are you a substance use treatment professional committed to providing care in Massachusetts? MA Repay may help you reduce your student loan debt.
This program will award funding through two rounds of applications. The program collected Cohort Two applications from August 28, 2024 - September 25, 2024. The application window is now closed. Applicants awarded through Cohort One signed contracts before August 28, 2024.
Substance use disorder treatment professionals are necessary for the wellbeing of those struggling with substance use and mental health challenges. Massachusetts faces a significant shortage of these key professionals, creating barriers to care and worsening health inequities. To address this shortage, the Substance Use Treatment Provider Student Loan Repayment Program offers eligible professionals student loan repayment in exchange for a service commitment in an eligible setting.
If you commit to four years of working as a substance use disorder treatment professional in an eligible setting, you may receive up to $50,000 in student loan repayment.
